1. Do I need a FM license to operate FYIFM®.?
No. FYIFM® have been licensed and approved by CRTC (Canadian Radio Television and Telecommunications Commision) and Industry Canada which regulates radio signal transmission devices. A version is also approved by the FCC and available for use in the United States.

2. How far do FYIFM® units transmit?
In Canada, FYIFM® units are governed by RSS-210 Radio Standard Specifications. These specifications allow FYIFM® units to transmit approximately 30 meters (approx 100 feet) at a specified signal strength. They will however transmit much farther but at a reduced signal strength.

3. Will FYIFM® lose the message if the power is shut off?
No. The message is stored on a special micro chip and requires no power to retain the message. The message will start playing immediately once the power is turned on again.

4. How long will the FYIFM® transmit my message for?
The FYIFM® transmitter will record and play a high quality message up to 4 minutes in length. The transmitter has no moving parts to wear out so it will play continuously for years.
